Tragedy Strikes Central Queensland: One-Year-Old Girl Killed in Car Crash
A single-vehicle car crash in central Queensland has resulted in the death of a one-year-old girl and injured a woman and a five-month-old boy. The incident occurred on Golden Mile Road near Dysart on Sunday morning.
A devastating single-vehicle car crash in central Queensland on Sunday morning has claimed the life of a one-year-old girl and injured a woman and a five-month-old boy.
Emergency services were called to Golden Mile Road near Dysart, approximately 250 kilometres south-west of Mackay, at around 9am after a vehicle left the road and rolled. The one-year-old girl died at the scene.
The 22-year-old driver, a woman from Moranbah, sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital. A five-month-old boy suffered serious injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment. Queensland Ambulance Service transported the pair to Dysart Hospital before they were flown to Mackay by helicopter.
The incident occurred near Dysart, 180 kilometres south-east of Mackay. The forensic crash unit is investigating and police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
