A supersized fish sculpture, made from invasive weeds and plastic litter, has taken pride of place at one of Australia's largest outdoor sculpture exhibitions on the southern Gold Coast.
The massive mullet, created by two longtime friends, Ged McCormick and Rusty Linnane, is part of the 2026 SWELL Sculpture Festival on the Currumbin foreshore. The sculpture began as a small idea to create a piece made entirely of red-nosed, fish-shaped soy sauce packets, but its scale soon grew much bigger.
